How We See the Light - Music Video

John Cale – "How We See the Light"

Directed by Pepi Ginsberg

At 82, John Cale is thinking about endings – and new beginnings. “How We See The Light” is the first single from his latest album, POPtical Illusion, due on June 14. On it, Cale sings about a relationship’s end as a chance to learn something, however hard-won, and to use that to move on to a new chapter. The song is a reminder that, in a career full of experimentation and edgy music-making, from the Velvet Underground and Andy Warhol to his work with Brian Eno, Cale has always known how to write a good tune. "How We See the Light" by John Cale is part of our Weekly Music Roundup.
